We’re Hiring Dedicated Early Childhood Professionals

The Learning Experience of Astoria is seeking passionate, dependable, and experienced Assistant Teachers to join our team across multiple classrooms and age groups.

We are not just looking for someone to “help in a classroom.”
We are looking for educators who understand that early childhood is a critical stage of development — and that stability, consistency, and nurturing care matter deeply.

Our children deserve teachers who show up fully — with patience, professionalism, and heart.

Experience Requirement (Mandatory)

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed daycare center

  • Experience supporting infants, toddlers, or preschool-age children

  • Strong understanding of classroom structure and daily routines

Only applicants with verifiable daycare experience will be considered.

Key Qualities We Value

We are seeking individuals who are:

✔️ Consistently punctual and reliable
 ✔️ Warm, nurturing, and attentive
✔️ Positive contributors to team culture
✔️ Respectful of classroom structure and leadership
✔️ Knowledgeable about child development and best practices
✔️ Comfortable following policies, procedures, and licensing regulations

Responsibilities Include

  • Supporting the Lead Teacher in daily classroom routines

  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment

  • Assisting with curriculum activities and child engagement

  • Supporting children’s social-emotional development

  • Maintaining accurate documentation as required

  • Communicating respectfully and professionally with families and staff

  • Upholding all state licensing and company standards

Assistant Teachers play a critical role in maintaining classroom stability. Children thrive when adults are consistent, calm, and dependable — and we expect the same level of professionalism across all classrooms.

You are dependable and take pride in your work.
You contribute to a healthy, positive workplace culture.
You believe that teamwork and professionalism matter.

If you are looking for a center that values structure, accountability, and genuine care for children, we encourage you to apply.
