About the Role:
Join The Learning Experience as a Lead Infant Teacher in Astoria, NY, where you will play a pivotal role in nurturing the growth and development of our youngest learners. This exciting opportunity allows you to create a warm and engaging environment that fosters curiosity and learning.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum for infants, promoting cognitive and social development.
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants to explore and learn.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and communicate effectively with parents.
- Collaborate with other educators to create a cohesive learning experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets health and safety standards.
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote sensory exploration and motor skills.
- Support and mentor assistant teachers in daily classroom activities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements:
- Must have an associates degree in Early Childhood Education OR have 5 years of infant experience in a licensed daycare facility
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an early childhood setting, preferably with infants.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with young children.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early education.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Patience, creativity, and a nurturing demeanor are essential.
